About Us

Eastern Trailriders is a group of snowmobile enthusiasts. As a club, we were accepted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Snowmobile Federation in 2004. Being a part of the NLSF has been quite beneficial to our club. It has allowed us to proceed with the necessary steps to achieve our goal of attaining a groomed snowmobile trail which will link us with the rest of the trail system in our beautiful province.

January 2007 was our first time to have a section of trail groomed. Grooming was done solely by volunteers. Many hours were spent to introduce groomed trails to the Avalon Peninsula.

Further goals include completion of the trail from Brigus Junction to Southlands. This would include warm up shelters along the trail. We are also hoping for a secondary trail system into the Bay Roberts / Carbonear area and the Southern Shore of the Avalon. Though we are a fairly new organization, we have achieved a lot and are still focused on that dream of having a trail system on par with other trail systems throughout the island.
